12 Gifts For FiveFinger Enthusiasts

by Dan Hinckley » on Nov 23, 2012 7

It is no secret that it’s the gift giving time of year.  As FiveFinger enthusiast we often get asked by friends and loved ones what they can get us that would make our running and overall Vibram FiveFinger experience that much more enjoyable.  Our team put our heads together, and spent some time browsing around Amazon to come up with a number of perfect gifts for FiveFinger owners this season.

Here are 12 gifts we would love, and bet you would too.

    1. Skooba bags – This bag fits a wide variety of needs and purposes and is perfect for the multi-tasker.
    2. Maui Jim Sunglasses – A runner is always in need of a good pair of sunglasses to protect their eyes during their workouts. While the sun is up less in the winter, a Fivefinger enthusiast will love them all the same.
    3. iPod Nano – A gift list just wouldn’t be complete without a music device. And lets face it, the iPod is still the best option.
    4. Saucony Men’s Nomad Jacket – Now that the weather has gotten a bit chilly, having a great jacket to run in that has plenty of places to hold your iPod is perfect!
    5. Smartwool HyFi Arm Warmers – For those of us that hate jackets, but like to stay warm on long runs.
    6. Garmin Forerunner 110 GPS-Enabled Sport Watch – I track my runs with my iPhone, but my wife swears by the Garmin Watch.
    7. Nathan Speed 4R Waist Pack with Four 8-Ounce Nutrition Flasks – Personally, I’m not a huge fan of the fanny packs that have water bottles, but I do understand the importance of staying hydrated on long runs. Some people swear by these so we’ve included them in this list.
    8. Reflective Running Vest– Now that it gets dark earlier in the evening, having one of these vests for your post-work workout can help keep you safe.
    9. Ultramarathon Man: 50 Marathons – 50 States – 50 Days – We all need a bit of entertainment after we complete a run.
    10. The Stick Travel Stick – For Tight Muscles – To help us prevent injury and perform great during our runs!
    11. Injinji Socks – For keeping our toes warm.
    12. Another Pair of FiveFingers – We can never have too many!

What did we miss? What would you add to the list? Let us know in the comments and we’ll update the list for everyone to see! The MyFiveFingers.com Team hopes everyone gets the gifts they’re hoping for this Holiday Season.

I would highly recommend the Motorola MOTOACTV. You get the music you want from an iPod Nano and the GPS tracking you want from the Garmin watch all in one package just slightly larger than the Nano. I have used mine fire training and races this year and it was great!

Thanks Michael, we’ll add it to the list!

I’d like to see some warm, natural fiber socks because running in Michigan in the winter in my Vibrams is COLD!. Synthetic socks don’t cut it. I’d like something in a fine wool or silk. Please let me know if you find some. Thanks.

Tina. You could try SmartWool toe socks. I live in a cold climate with snow/ice and they work great for my early morning runs in my five fingers
