Skechers “Natural Stride” Includes a Heel Strike

I snapped this picture a few months ago when my wife and I went on a short trip to Atlantic City.  They have a bunch of factory outlets there, and we were perusing the Skechers store when I spotted this box.  I found the advertising odd, as now-a-days it seems that manufacturers have caught on to the demand for shoes that encourage a mid-foot strike, and so most advertising for ‘natural running’ doesn’t include a heel strike.  Not Skechers, though. They are ‘all-in’ on heel strikes.

What’s interesting is that they’re also marketing the midfoot strike with the Skechers GoRun. We did a post on the GoRun a few weeks ago and I was amazed by the conflicting information in the marketing campaigns (both by Skechers) for the Shape-Ups vs. the GoRun. http://wp.me/p1YsAP-75
