Video of the Week: Vibram FiveFingers Field Test

by Brian Patterson » on Aug 29, 2011 4

We’ve chosen this Field Test video as the ‘Video of the Week’ because its pretty thorough and accurate.  They call attention to the easing in period, the benefits of barefoot running and the reasons behind it, and the improvements it will make to your gate.  A lot of the videos about FiveFingers that we see online are pretty innacurate or incomplete (we’ll post some of these in the coming weeks), but we liked this one for its simplicity, visual appeal, and fairness.

What do you think?  Let us know in the comments!

Not once did they show running on pavement – and I am happy to see that. I almost sustained a metatarsal injury from running in VFFs on pavement, but luckily I realized they weren’t made for that.

Trail running is where it’s at when it comes to VFFs!!!

aside from the crap about reflexology and pressure points, a pretty good video.
