Sticky Feet, Stinky Socks
But for years, I’ve struggled to find footwear that’s as natural on my feet when I’m not working out. I used to be in the working world in DC, and recently moved to Florida. It’s hot, humid, and sticky most of the time. While I do work from home, I still dress up for meetings, events, and church, and I begrudgingly put on a nice outfit or a suit and tie. Whenever I have to dress up professionally, I find that I come home with stinky, sweaty feet. The first thing I want to do when I walk in the door is remove my shoes and socks. I’ve been questioning why there isn’t a shoe or sock designed to look good that also has functional benefits.
A New Kind of Sock
Finally this week, I think there may be a solution. My friend sent me a link to a Kickstarter campaign for a new performance-based business sock, which is designed to wick away sweat, reduce odor, and increase comfort. GoodFoot Socks is a revolutionary company applying the functionalities developed for athletic apparel to the fashion designed for business. Their socks look high tech, sleek, and comfortable.
Why I’m Giving GoodFoot Socks a Chance
The campaign offers the option to pre-order small quantities of the socks at an early bird discount, which is a really great deal. I jumped at the chance to back the project because I can’t wait to get my hands on a pair of professional socks that actually have my feet in mind. I’m tired of spending money on socks that don’t perform! In just a few months, I’m hoping to be able to have a solution for the business side of my active lifestyle.
If you’re ready for a new kind of sock – a sock as revolutionary for your foot as the Vibram FiveFingers – consider giving the company your support on Kickstarter. Read more about them here.
Hello tara-lynn! So happy to see you here :)Hey Jennie! Teer really is goerogus. And I know, I want her name. And last name too. This might sound funny, but I have been watching a lot of Dallas lately. And Teer’s name would make the best name on that show. I mean that as a compliment. I love Dallas. I’m not even going to get into my very late discovery of Seinfeld and all the preppy hairstyles on the women in that show. Very off topic here. Anyway, I should have posted her photos sooner but I think they suit my new blog best. So glad they made you think again about the garters :) they suit her to a T I think. Sorry for my endless nerdisms.
