Under the guise of “Looking Good While Getting in Shape”, FiveFingers get a nice feature on Fox News (video below). They speak with a writer from Details Magazine who talks about the hot trend this year being lightweight running shoes that look great. Of FiveFingers, he says, “You can use them in the gym, you can run with them. The idea is that you are building a stronger foot, a stronger ankle, a stronger knee, because your foot is working more in the shoe”. It seems like good exposure to us, and with a bunch of articles coming out lately about how ‘ugly’ or ‘unusual’ they are, its nice for FiveFingers to get featured first in an article/video about ‘looking good’.
They also go into a couple of other shoes, such as the The Puma Faas which are offered up as an alternative for people who can’t fit comfortably into FiveFingers. The Adidas Climacool Ride are covered as one of their favorites because, humorously, they are offered in 31 different colors. And the Nike Free Run+ 2 get some attention by including an insert where a ‘stride monitor’ can be placed.

Well at Details magazine, we like the ones with more colors. Cool for the exposure but they seem a bit misdirected.
Yeah, that part made me LOL
