Day 2 was just as interesting and busy at Outdoor Retailers Winter Market 2012 as opening day. We were able to make our way around to a number of different booths and check out what next year has to offer from companies like injinji, Teva, Adiddas, and even snap a few more pictures of Vibram’s upcoming Fall/Winter 2012 lineup. The deal making between manufacturers and shoe retailers was a high priority as many companies had their day fully scheduled and booked with those coming to place orders for next winter.
Teva had a large display but was focusing more on their winter product lines than their sandals and other products.
Some of the more interesting displays included demonstrations. Skechers has been actively pushing their “GoRun” line hoping to convince retailers that the mid-strike model. They had demonstrations running every 2 hours or so.
I especially liked the Gibbon Slacklines demonstrations. The guys walking across the lines were doing jumps and flips yet staying on the line. They did a great job at keeping everyone entertained.
I’m pretty sure that a Slackline will be part of my workout plan this summer.
Adidas has a large exhibit showing of their winter clothes and boots line. I looked closely for the Adidas Adipure Trainer but they weren’t on display. While other shoe manufactures were showing of a number of new barefoot or minimalist shoes, Adidas must not have felt it fit the theme of the trade show.
Merrell had one of the largest booths at the show. Theirs included an up and down stairs area for displays, a number of private rooms to discuss with retailers their product lines coming in the summer, and was very, very busy. They weren’t shy about showing their connection and partnership with Vibram.
In addition to the number of shoe manufacturers, there was also a significant number of people selling socks. Of those, Injinji had one of the largest exhibits.
The Vibram exhibit was especially busy today, but I was able to snap a few more pictures of their Fall/Winter 2012 product line.
ORWM Has been exciting and a great opportunity to connect with shoe manufacturers and discuss the changes they’ve made in their new product lines. We’ll be reviewing a number of shoes and products over the coming months so be sure to subscribe to our newsletter, Like our Facebook Page, and follow us on Twitter.
Wow! I love the new colors for Women’s classics. Im thinking of getting a new pair actually!
