More from the Warrior Dash

by Brian Patterson » on Aug 02, 2011 5

We’re big fans of the Warrior Dash.  I mean, there aren’t many events where you can jump over fire, climb nets, crawl through mud, and drink beer – and love every second of it, all for about $50.  We’ve featured the Warrior Dash previously, as Scott participated in it wearing his FiveFingers (and he highly recommends FiveFingers for this event).  So, we were happy to receive the following Email from Teresa on her recent experience in the Warrior Dash.

Jerry and Josh ran the Warrior Dash on Saturday, July 31  in Kansas City, MO. Each wore a different style of FiveFingers and both thought they were the perfect footwear. This was the first Warrior Dash for each of them but it will certainly not be their last. The oldest pair of FiveFingers will Dash with them each summer. Thank you Vibram for such a great product.

Have you participated in an event like this?  Or are you thinking about it?  Let us know in the comments!

I’m competing in the spartan race in the uk on the 2nd oct. Want to get some vibrams before then as I run barefoot at the moment.. What pair would everyone recomend for this type of event?

  2. Jerry Schrock says:

I have a couple of pairs of the KSO’s & that is what I ran in for the Warrior Dash. They certainly survived to run another day unlike a good percentage of the regular running shoes.

Awesome. I think I might have to get myself a pair. Have got them with the camo pattern or in black?

  4. Amy and Jason says:

My wife and I ran the KC Warrior Dash in Vibrams. My wife ran hers in 39 minutes in Classics, and I ran mine in 40 in KSOs.

Pretty sure we both stomped Jerry and Josh. =)

*My wife knows Jerry and Josh.

I ran the Warrior Dash in Hastings, Minnesota in my Vibram Five Finger Shoes. I sent you a picture of my legs and shoes on Twitter, I hope you could make use of the picture.
